TOWNSHIP PROPOSALS
PROPOSAL FOR AMBULANCE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
Shall the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Consitution on general ad valorem taxes within Lockport Township be increased by .5 mills ($.50 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of ten (10) years from 2018 through 2027, inclusive, for the purposes of funding the provision of ambulance and emergency medical services to the Township; and shall the Township levy such millage for said purpose, thereby, raising in the first year an estimated $50,500 for disbursement to Lockport Township and the Three Rivers Fire Department for provision of such services?
PROPOSAL FOR FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES
Shall the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within Lockport Township be increased by 1 mills ($1 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of ten (10) years from 2017 through 2026, inclusive, for the purposes of funding the provision of fire protection services to the Township; and shall the Township levy such millage for said purpose, thereby, raising in the first year an estimated $101,000 for distribution to Lockport Township, City of Three Rivers Fire Department and Centreville Fire Department?
